@skyline44512 . . Sorry chap I think this is where we differ, mainly due to measurement as the US Gallon is smaller than the UK imperial gallon (1 US gallon = 0.83 Imperial gallons) . . so therefore 30 Mpg US = 24.9 Miles per Imperial Gallon therefore same mpg as my UK spec RS4 . . .on a downer that means on a weekend you are doing 14.9mpg UK . . same as me, however with a heavy right foot I have seen this dip to 8mpg UK = 9.6mpg US . . but what a day!!

@wideangle852 I can manage 30mpg in my 2010 S4 quite easily. I usually do during the week. I can also manage 18mpg easily on the weekends when I am flogging it a bit more.

@IvyLeagueCars I completely agree with you about the BMs and the new Audis, but Benz has never and never will be a driver's car. They dominate the luxury sports class, yes, but I could never own one, since I am a real driver. AMG does not offer a manual tranny, and I will never buy an automatic sports car. It has always been BMW for driving and Mercedes for luxury. Audi is creeping up on the sport side and on reliability while BMW is slipping. Mercedes reliability has been awful since the 90s.

To me, Benz has been the best car in the world since the beginning of motor cars, and will be forever, Audi or BMW will never be better. But as far as BMW vs Audi, Audi is starting to take over. BMW had their shine in the 80s 90s and early 2000's as the German Driving Machine, now I think Audi has that title. The S models are really the only ones that interest me, otherwise the regular models look like a VW with a bunch of rings on it and nicer leather.
