@watchoutch Premium cars will have all 3 levels of damage, standard cars (which make up the majority of the 900 cars), will only have 2 levels of damage. I agree that mechanical damage is the most important. I just wish that car manufacturers would allow Sony to dismantle their production cars. The problem is these manufacturers won't allow Sony to realistically damage their cars as they don't want their cars weaknesses displayed in a racing simulator.

@P1630N "not necessarily applide to all RACES" not "to all cars"And they clearly state all cars will have DENTS, body panels or not.These little details mean nothing to me, all cars will have damage. The more important is mechanical damage anyway, and all cars will have it the same way.

@watchoutch If you actually read it though, not all cars will have full damage, by that i mean deformation of the body, also if you look right at the bottom in tiny writing it says, and i quote, "Damage is not necessarily applied to all races in the game."

@P1630N google "Latest Information on Gran Turismo 5 Uncovered" (on the official gran turismo website) page 4

@watchoutch Well if that's true then im glad to be proven wrong for once, im just going on the last article i read, i haven't seen any news recently on the damage engine. Could you please link me to the article you got that information from?
watchoutch (December 31, 1969 at 6:59 pm)
@P1630N LOL wrong again, read the news please. Just go to the official gran turismo website: ALL cars will have aesthetic and mechanical damage. ALL cars will have DENTS, scratches and dust accumulation, premium cars will also have panels hanging/coming off.

@watchoutch I wasn't talking about the way in which the damage is replicated, forza's damage is more proportionate than GT5's. Like prestb said, you can hit a wall at 120 mph and you get some dents, bumper might come off and the windscreen cracks, but it's not realistic. Also GT5 won't feature damage on all 900 cars, just a select group. Don't get me wrong i love GT5 and think it's the best racing sim out there, but the damage could be a little better.

@P1630N unfortunately you're WRONG. fm3 damage is scripted (4 sides+roof) and in GT5 it's real-time.
prestb (December 31, 1969 at 6:59 pm)
@P1630N But GT looks plastic... Either way, it was... Interesting(?) talking to you I guess... Well bye. XD
