@analbeard1976 The berlingo and partner are pretty much the same...Maybe you got the wrong engine?At first, the berlingo and partner came with the XUD9 1.9 diesel engine, but later they changed it to the sucky DW8 1.9 diesel like the guy in this video has...

i got a partner 1.9 D but i put a turbo... your partner have the motor broken, put a new motor and a turbo :P

Im not sure what you're trying to say here, but something about valves and head? Well, the head was broken, and was not worth fixing\replacing so engine got scrapped and replaced with a working used one. Valves\timing were never touched, but could actually be one of the problems when I think about it...
